A 'T-Box' WAS the small wooden box that held sand (HUNDREDS of years ago!) on each teeing area, from which golfers would use to pour and shape a tee to hit from. THERE ARE NO T-BOXES ON GOLF COURSES ANYMORE!!!!

2008 MASTERS CHAMPION- NO SCREAMING APE MOUTH! What a wonderful scene- Trevor Immelman winning his first Masters like a refined gentleman, not pumping fists, gapping ape-like mouth screaming.

CBS did a disgraceful job of covering the weekend, with their biased coverage and commentating- they sure look/sound like they're on one player's payroll!

.LPGA-Ochoa triumphs at 2008 Corona Championship.
MORELIA, MICHOACAN, Mexico, April 13, 2008 – Some sports call it home-field advantage, but for Mexico's Lorena Ochoa it was more like home-country advantage this week at the Corona Championship. The 26-year-old finished at 25-under-par (66-66-66-69=267) at Tres Marias Residential Golf Club to claim her 21st career title and fulfill the points requirement for the LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame. She now must complete 10 years on Tour before she can officially enter the Hall.

USGA AWARDS 31 ADDITIONAL GRANTS TO SUPPORT NON-PROFIT GOLF PROGRAMS
Colorado Springs, Colo. – In its most recent cycle of grant awards, the United States Golf Association (USGA) has awarded 31 additional grants to non-profit organizations to support affordable and accessible golf programs and facilities. The new grants, totaling $739,330, cover programs that will reach more than 18,000 kids and individuals with disabilities in 15 states and the District of Columbia. more

OREGON'S BANDON DUNES GOLF RESORT TO HOST 2006 CURTIS CUP & 2007 U.S. MID-AMATEUR

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore., has been chosen as the site of the 2006 Curtis Cup Match and the 2007 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, the United States Golf Association has announced.

The Curtis Cup will be conducted July 29-30, 2006, and the Mid-Amateur is scheduled from September 29 to October 4, 2007.

U.S. OPEN TO RETURN TO BLACK COURSE AT BETHPAGE (N.Y.) IN 2009

PINEHURST (N.C.) RESORT TO HOST 2008 U.S. AMATEUR; OLYMPIC CLUB TO HOST IN 2007
Far Hills, N.J. – Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, N.C., previously selected as the site of the 2007 U.S. Amateur, will host the championship in 2008 and The Olympic Club in San Francisco, Calif., will host the Amateur in 2007.
